A: We've just launched eBook 3.0 - an unparalleled digital program for Australian Schools.

eBook 3.0 is a new development from Pearson that provides you with the student book digitally online, or offline, for any device. No textbook is right for my school! I wish I could easily create a history book for my school. How can I?

A: Pearson Custom.

You can now customise Pearson History by choosing the chapters you want in your own customised student book. There's a lot to cover in the Australian Curriculum: History, but what does your school cover in depth? With Pearson History Custom, you could include an overview chapter of the Year 7 topics, and include Ancient Egypt but exclude Ancient India. Or does your school split Geography and History by semesters? Create a book with enough content for 1 semester of course work.

How can I find time to create new lesson plans for the new curriculum?

A: You don't need to! There are loads of editable planning documents online.

We've created teaching plans for each of the student books for the whole year, and they're editable Word documents so you can customise for your school. In fact, they are also mapped to the Australian Curriculum so you can see which chapters and units are linked to which content descriptors of the Australian Curriculum: History. You'll find all of these located online in Pearson Places when you adopt the series.

How can I make history engaging for my students so they see that it's really fun?

A: We've made history accessible by providing students the core skills they need to succeed and enjoy learning history.

The History Skills Toolbox at the start of the student books give students and teachers a handy reference guide they can refer to for the core skills required to learn history.

The inquiry-based approach central to the series encourages students to research and discover for themselves rather than simply being provided information.

The 200 interactive activities on the online student book (Pearson Reader) as well as the 150 case studies help student to relate to history in a fun way.
